After playing with it a lot in Windows, I decided to make it work on Linux. The force feedback part didn&#8217;t work out of the box. I managed to make it work with the usb-hid driver after I added it&#8217;s usb id to it. You can find the patch against kernel 2.6.18 <a href=\"\/patches\/logitech_formula_force_ex_ff.patch\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Copy the file to your kernel source root directory.<\/li>\n<li>Apply the patch:<br \/>\n<blockquote><p><em>patch -p1 &lt;logitech_formula_force_ex_ff.patch<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>Recompile the usbhid module<\/li>\n<li>Reload the usbhid module.<\/li>\n<li>Have fun testing it with <a href=\"http:\/\/user.it.uu.se\/~johannd\/projects\/ff\/download\/utils\/ff-utils.tar.bz2\">ffutils<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zagura.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/02\/log_1.jpg\" title=\"Logitech Formula Force EX Wheel\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.zagura.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/02\/log_1.jpg\" alt=\"Logitech Formula Force EX Wheel\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Only the constant force effect works as this is the only effect currently implemented in the driver).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On my birthday, my friends bought me a Logitech Formula Force EX Feedback Wheel.
